His Excellency Mr. Nabil Fahmy receives Jibril Rajoub and Mohammad Shtayyeh

H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received on 7 October Mr. Jibril Rajoub, Secretary of the Central Committee of Fatah, and Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, member of the Central Committee of Fatah and former Prime Minister, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat.

His Excellency Mr Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received on 7 October Mr. Jibril Rajoub, Secretary of the Central Committee of Fatah, and Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, member of the Central Committee of Fatah and former Prime Minister, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat.

The meeting discussed the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, as well as ways to preserve the Palestinian national project.

The Secretary-General emphasised the importance the League attaches to the unity and cohesion of the Palestinian internal front and the need to safeguard the foundations of the Palestinian cause and the two-state solution at this critical stage of the Palestinian people’s struggle.

The Secretary-General reaffirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause to the League of Arab States and its support for the steadfastness and struggle of the Palestinian people as they seek to overcome the current phase and its humanitarian, political and security challenges.
