Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam receives Nabil Fahmy in Beirut
Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam received Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, in Beirut on 19 October.
Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam received Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, in Beirut on 19 October.
The two sides discussed the priorities of the current phase and the political, security and economic challenges facing Lebanon.
Mr. Fahmy affirmed the League of Arab States’ support for the Lebanese Government’s efforts to strengthen state authority and extend its sovereignty throughout the country, and to support its national institutions.
He stressed the need to halt Israeli attacks and end the Israeli occupation of Lebanese territory.
He also affirmed the League’s commitment to continuing coordination with the Lebanese Government and mobilising Arab support for recovery and reconstruction efforts, in a manner that contributes to strengthening security and stability and fulfilling the aspirations of the Lebanese people.
