Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Condemns Israel's Demolition of an Entire Neighborhood in Southern Lebanon

Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, condemned the demolition by Israeli occupation forces of an entire residential neighborhood in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon, describing it as a continuation of Israel's longstanding policy of brutality and systematic destruction.

The Secretary-General underscored that the deliberate destruction of civilian neighborhoods and the collective punishment of civilian populations constitute serious violations of International Humanitarian Law and are unequivocally unacceptable.

Mr. Fahmy urged the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to assume its responsibilities in confronting Israel's expansionist policies and its continued reliance on the use of force against the countries and peoples of the region.
