The official spokesperson for the League of Arab States emphasised the League's unequivocal rejection of Iran's targeting of the Gulf States and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the Houthi group's attack on a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea, stating that these actions constitute a violation of international law and pose a serious threat to maritime security and regional stability.

The spokesperson welcomed the position adopted by the Gulf Cooperation Council in response to these developments, underscoring Arab solidarity in confronting threats directed against the security of Arab States and the safety of international maritime routes.

The spokesperson added that the League of Arab States demands that the Houthi group immediately cease all actions that threaten the security of international maritime navigation.

He noted that the League demands Iran end its violations and re-engage in the negotiating process, stressing that dialogue remains the only viable path towards a comprehensive and sustainable resolution of the crisis.

He warned that continued escalation would only deepen the crisis and undermine efforts to restore security and stability in the region.
