The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States strongly condemned the continued Houthi attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, most recently the launch of a ballistic missile towards Riyadh, alongside attempts to target a number of other cities and areas across the Kingdom.

The General Secretariat emphasised that the continuation of these attacks constitutes a dangerous and unacceptable escalation, a violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, and a threat to the safety of civilians.

Such attacks further exacerbate tensions and threaten the security and stability of the region.

The General Secretariat reiterated its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for the measures it is taking to protect its security and sovereignty and the safety of its citizens and residents.

It affirmed that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Arab national security, and called for the immediate cessation of these attacks, an end to further escalation, respect for the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and adherence to the rules of international law.
