H.E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy describes the recent Israeli violations and attacks in SouthernLebanon as disgraceful and unacceptable.

H E Mr Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, reaffirmed full Arab support for the position of the Lebanese State in condemning the disgraceful Israeli violations and attacks against southern Lebanon, particularly the recent explosions targeting infrastructure and archaeological sites inscribed on the World Heritage List, in a blatant and unacceptable violation of international laws and norms.

He also stressed solidarity with Lebanon in safeguarding its security, stability and sovereignty.

Fahmy stated that the continuation of this aggressive approach by the Israeli occupation threatens to derail the ongoing negotiation process and calls for immediate action by the international community, particularly the United States of America in its capacity as a party sponsoring the negotiations  to halt these Israeli attacks on Lebanese sovereignty and ensure full compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which constitutes an important international guarantee for safeguarding Lebanon's sovereign rights.
