H. E. Sr. Nabil Fahmy urges return to dialogue and avoiding a renewed cycle of violence

Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Mr. Nabil Fahmy has warned of the grave consequences of the ongoing escalation in the region, particularly in the Arabian Gulf, cautioning against a renewed descent into an unending cycle of violence. He urged both the United States and Iran to take immediate steps to de-escalate tensions, stating that continued escalation will serve only to inflict further losses on all parties, especially as the situation risks spiralling beyond control into broader mutual destruction, with severe economic repercussions for the region and the global economy.
