H. E. Mr.Nabil Fahmy Describes the Repeated Attacks Targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as a Dangerous and Irresponsible Escalation by Iran and Its Proxies

H E Mr Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, strongly condemned the repeated targeting of oil facilities in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the attacks against the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan using drones, describing them as a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability and undermines efforts to consolidate peace and stability.

The Secretary-General stressed that the continuation of these attacks requires a firm response from the international community to prevent their recurrence, hold those responsible accountable, and ensure that the region does not become an open arena for threats against vital and economic infrastructure.

He emphasized that respect for the sovereignty of states and the protection of their critical facilities are fundamental pillars for preserving regional peace and stability.

H E Mr Fahmy further stressed that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the integrity of their territories, are an integral part of Arab national security.

He reaffirmed the League of Arab States' support for all legitimate measures taken to safeguard their national security and territorial integrity, in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
