H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy meets with Iraqi Prime Minister in New York

His Excellency Mr Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, met with Mr Ali Faleh Al-Zeidi, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, on the sidelines of their participation in the high-level meetings of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The meeting addressed the rapidly evolving developments in the region and ways of coordinating efforts to achieve de-escalation and restore security and stability.

Mr Fahmy affirmed Iraq’s distinguished standing within the framework of joint Arab action, stressing the League’s commitment to close coordination with the Republic of Iraq with a view to enhancing the effectiveness of the League of Arab States and its ability to serve shared Arab interests.
