H. E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, held a telephone conversation with Mr. Fuad Hussein, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq. The two discussed the tense regional situation and ways to achieve security and stability. They affirmed the importance of addressing current developments through diplomatic means and of reinvigorating Arab-Arab relations in order to protect the region and preserve the nation-state as the cornerstone of stability and security.
